East Side Coastal Resiliency Project (NYCDDC)

The firm is providing PMCM and engineering services on the East Side Coastal Resiliency (ESCR) Project which is a coastal protection initiative aimed at reducing flood risk due to coastal storms and sea level rise on Manhattan’s East Side.  The firm is involved with the review and approval of contractor’s submission related to three tied-arch pedestrian bridges that are being fabricated in Italy.  The firm ensures compliance with New York State standards for bridges fabrication and construction.  In addition, the firm provides expert consulting on key issues faced by this challenging project.


1300-Unit Apartment Complex in Downtown, NYC
This apartment complex houses 10 buildings. Three buildings are 39-Strory.
Civilcraft inspected the façade, developed Façade Inspection Safety Program (FISP) reports, developed restoration plans and specification, and provided support services during the construction phase. The construction cost for the restoration was $4.5M. For the Cycle 9C of the FISP filing, Civilcraft is currently inspecting the façade using Industrial Rope Access (IRA) to minimize cost and disturbance to tenants. Civilcraft recently developed plans for restoration of five parking garages and have developed Periodic Inspection of Parking Structure Report (PIPS) in compliance with Local Law 126.
Civilcraft is often called in to address waterproofing issues, particularly leakage issues from the roof where we employed Electric Field Vector Mapping (EFVM) technology to pinpoint the source of leakage.


2200-Unit Apartment Complex in Newark, NJ
In terms of the number of dwelling units, this is the largest apartment complex in the state of New Jersey. Civilcraft developed restoration plans on multiple buildings within the complex and provided support services during the construction phase. The plans addressed several safety and waterproofing issues.

 

 

 


Façade and Parking Garage Restoration of a 32-Story Building in Queens, NY

The property also houses a public school. Façade Inspection report, restoration plans and specifications were developed. In addition, inspection report and repair plans for the restoration of bi-level parking garage were recently developed. Civilcraft is providing PMCM services on this this project.
